Good evening my Self Made Momma Babes to be! I’m currently 19 weeks pregnant and realized even though I’m not a drinker I really started to miss my beloved Red Sangria’s and Moscow Mules around the 9 week mark. I even had a weird craving for Mexican beer! If you are like me, then you have been a good momma-to-be and you are holding strong to protect your little one in the womb. It wasn’t until my pregnancy brain all of the sudden started working that I realized that I could be an 8 year old again and order a thing called a mocktail… You know drinks like “Shirley Temple” and what not…. A mocktail is a non alcoholic cocktail: a mixed drink without the liquor! Mocktails are the perfect choice for people who are pregnant or avoiding alcohol. With a little know, you can make drinks that are just as tasty as the real thing! Yum!
So when my mother-in-law visited us, we invited her to one of my favorite restaurant spots in Jupiter, FL called Guanabanas! Babe, you have to try this place if you ever come to South Florida! It is truly amazing and special. I randomly ordered a Bloody Mary mocktail and it was delicious but you can get whatever mocktail drink your heart desires! Visit https://www.guanabanas.com/ if you are ever in the area!
The next spot I visited was a new vegan restaurant called Planta located on Rosemary Square in Downtown West Palm Beach, FL. One of my girlfriends wanted to try it out (even though we both aren’t vegan)and we were stunned with the overall vibe of the tropical design! The Fully Loaded Nachos’s were tasty–not sure how they pulled off the yummy vegan cheese but Chef David Lee knows what he is doing! I also ordered a refreshing Cucumber Mule Mocktail. The ingredients included Seedlip Grove 42, lime juice, ginger beer, rosemary and agave. Be sure to grab a bite if you want to try the hottest vegan restaurant in West Palm Beach, FL. https://plantarestaurants.getbento.com/florida-takeout/
The last spot on my mocktail journey thus far will be featuring downtown West Palm’s newest nightlife venue. I don’t typically go out very often anymore but last Saturday my hubby (Conrad) and I wanted to celebrate us finding out the gender of our baby! We had friends meet us at Banko Cantina in West Palm Beach to celebrate a mini-gender reveal with a cake I ordered from Nothing Bundt Cakes and after we ate we still wanted to celebrate so we visited Clematis Social. We stopped by around 8pm as most people don’t show up until later.
Clamatis Social is an upscale lounge that has pool tables, ping ping tables and always spinning the hottest beats all night. It is the perfect place to celebrate with semi-private rooms and tables. They serve delicious drinks and light snacks. They are located in the heart of Clematis Street. What I loved is even though I was sporting a cute round tummy they made sure to treat me like a queen when I walked in wearing my hot pink silky maternity dress. They served up a classic Shirley Temple and I was able to sip and dance the rest of the night away.. haha
We lasted until about 9pm. I was still able to be flirty with the hubby and enjoy one of our last night outs together before the baby arrives. I highly recommend you stopping by this place whether you are pregnant or not ha. If you get there early you will leave right when the line starts getting long and you will surly get your momma beauty sleep still. Hey, we all can be cool moms right, babe?! Happy Mocktail Sipping baby momma! Just know wherever you go, you can still get a glow from a delicious mocktail drink. https://www.clematissocialwpb.com/
Hi Jenna! I’m 3 months pregnant now and boy, do I have a lot of weird cravings. I can’t satisfy all my cravings, of course. I take only what’s good for my baby ( just like you). And this mocktail recipe has already topped my list. Non alcoholic, and satisfying, what more can I (and my baby) ask for?
