Hey y’all, it’s your girl Jenna from TheSelfMadeBabe.com! Today, we’re gonna talk about something that every boss lady needs to know when it comes to starting her e-commerce business – how to reach out to vendors.
Now, I know some of y’all might be a little intimidated by the idea of reaching out to vendors, but let me tell you, it ain’t that hard! In fact, it’s easier than trying to wrangle a wild dog out of your henhouse on a Sunday morning. (And if y’all are from the Texas like me, you know exactly what I’m talking about.)
So let’s get down to business. The first thing you need to do is identify potential vendors. Now, I don’t mean just any old vendor – you want to find reliable vendors who can provide quality products at a fair price. That’s where my Verified Vendor List ebook comes in handy – I’ve already done the hard work for you and tested these vendors myself. (Shameless plug, y’all!)
Once you’ve got your list of potential vendors, it’s time to start reaching out. Now, I know some of y’all might be tempted to send an email that says “Hey, can I buy stuff from you?” and call it a day. But trust me, that ain’t gonna cut it.
Instead, take the time to craft a personalized message (or you can copy and paste the one I wrote. It’s included in my vendor ebook) that shows you’ve done your homework and are genuinely interested in working with them. Tell them a little about yourself and your business, and why you think their products would be a good fit. And don’t be afraid to get a little creative – just like adding a little moonshine to your sweet tea, a personal touch can go a long way.
But don’t stop there – building a relationship with your vendors is key to long-term success. Follow up with them regularly, whether it’s to place an order or just to check in and say hey. And if you really want to go above and beyond, send them a little gift or handwritten note to show your appreciation (if they are in the USA). Just like the perfect biscuit recipe, building relationships takes time and effort, but it’s worth it in the end.
And, if y’all need a little extra help findin’ top-quality vendors, be sure to check out TheSelfMadeBabe’s Verified Vendor List ebook. It’s chock-full of tested and approved vendors for everything from lashes to custom clothing. With these tips and resources, you’ll be on your way to building a successful e-commerce business in no time.
Well, that’s all for now, Self-Made Babes! I hope these tips helped y’all out. Now, go out there and show ’em what you’re made of!
